The first OPUS prototypes are finally here!
It is a milestone for us to witness the progress from design draft to the actual prototypes.
For the first prototypes we have:
– Black lacquered dial
– C3 fully lumed dial
– Grey dial
– Handcrafted premium Italian top-grain leather straps
The black lacquered finish is real good and photo does not do it justice.
The Super-LumiNova C3 full lumed dial appears cream / ivory in day light. Aesthetically speaking, I’m not a fan of it. So this model will not make it to the next round of prototypes and final production. Nevertheless, the luminescent performance is magnificent, it glows like a torch in dark 🙂
The gray dial turned out to be quite aesthetically pleasing. This version uses a gray color paint base dial pairing with Super-LumiNova GL Black on the indices and hands. Due to the black color, the luminosity is quite underwhelming. In the final production, it will be a full lume (gray color) dial pairing with black paint on the indices and hands. The gray dial looks splendid with a variety of straps.
